Body: Alder
Neck: Birds Eye Maple
Pickups: Fender custom shop single coils with push/pull tone knob to combine middle and bridge pickups
Bridge: Fender high mass
Tuners: Sperzel locking/varying heights, eliminates need for string trees
This is a beautiful guitar but being an early production model it has some flaws which I'll outline below. The body is a super light weight alder one piece, an awesome piece of wood that is custom shaped and weighed in at only 3.5 pounds! The neck is birds eye maple and also stunning and is embellished with black clay dots. The pickups are custom shop 60's with a lot of bite and a super push/pull tone pot to combine the middle and bridge coils.
The finish is nitro and the paints are metallic. Looks pretty stunning, especially in natural light.
Now the flaws, the finish scuffed some in the polishing stage on the back edge near the back plate, not super obvious but there. Also the paint faded on the top edge near the back end when the sanding sealer was added, just along the edge for about an inch and a half, appears as if the paint is missing in that small section.
And, the blue paint showed some pre-painting marks once the finish was applied, you can see a slight black triangle in the first picture through the blue directly back from the bridge.
Because of these flaws I'm discounting this guitar quite a bit and despite them it's still a great looking, playing and sounding guitar.
The pictures below shows the scuffing on the back, note the hand painted back plate.
