Prototype #00
Body: Basswood
Neck: Maple
Pickups: SSS Fender American Strat
Bridge: Unknown low mass
Tuners: Grover mini tuners

This was the original OCD prototype and proof of concept guitar. It has gone through many variations in pickups and electronics as well as finishes. The current pickups are salvaged from an old American Standard Strat, year unknown, but they sound sweet. The body is finished in nitro but with a very thin coat on the back. I experimented with different coating thicknesses on this guitar to judge the effects of finishes on sound. This guitar has been played a lot and therefore is being sold as used, not new. It has a few flaws which are documented in the pictures below but from three feet away it's a stunning looking top, very metallic and it sounds pretty good too.
The flaws: Some rubbing and color loss on the back, see the photos and a spot near the input jack where some of the paint rubbed off before one of the finishes was applied. Like I said, this was an experimental guitar. It is, however, very playable and still looks good, the matching headstock really accentuates the colors in the body design. It's also missing it's whammy bar, got misplaced sometime ago, but that's easily replaced, it takes the fatter screw in type.
Rubbed section on back, there's also another area that appears non glossy near the cavity cover.
Area of rubbed paint near input jack.
pickup covers are from an old strat, one has slight yellowing near the edge.
$300.00 With new gig bag.
